Week 13 Anything Blog

After realizing that we only have a couple weeks of school it really made me sit back and think about my first year at Defiance College. I realized that I shouldn’t of slacked off in my first midterm of college. I didn’t know what to expect and I truly was not prepared for the experience. I was ready to play baseball I really think that was the only thing I was focused on, when I should have worried about doing homework and not procrastinating. If I had to give advice to incoming freshman next year it would be this, do not procrastinate, worry about the task at hand, be organized, and have fun but not too much fun because time flies in college, and you won’t believe it will until you’re already done with the first year in a blink of an eye.

Week 13

1.     Both by Gucci feat. Drake because it has good beat and lyrics, it is a very catchy song.
2.     No Vaseline by Ice Cube because of the story behind the song, Ice Cube “dissing” Eazy E after Cube left N.W.A.
3.     Boyz-N-The-Hood by Eazy E is an all-time classic and you can always jam to this song.
4.     7 years by Lukas Graham means a lot to me because my biggest fear is growing up and this song is about growing up.
5.     Summertime by Kenny Chesney, my mother and I always would sing this song on the lake in the summertime.
6.     No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems by Kenny Chesney, this was the first Kenny Chesney song my mother ever showed me. She loves Kenny Chesney and that is what I grew up on.
7.     Congratulations by Post Malone, this song is very catchy and always pumps me up and gets me going.
8.     Break up in a small town by Sam Hunt, the lyrics are very relatable to a lot of people’s lives when breaking up with someone in a small town.
9.     1985 by Bowling For Soup, every time all the baseball players are together hanging out and playing music, we always play this song and everybody knows it and it will now always remind me of my team.

10.  T-Shirt by Migos, is special to me because a senior on the baseball team always dances to this and it always makes me laugh and cheers me up.

Anything Blog (Comeback)

As I said in last week’s “Anything Blog” I was injured and had to sit out for two weeks. It was one of the hardest things I have had to go through so far here at Defiance College.  I know two weeks doesn’t sound like a lot but when you are sitting every day and watching your teammates playing and throwing and knowing you can’t throw, it’s just something unexplainable. People take for granted what they can do, like simply throwing a baseball. Life just sucks how something like an injury like can take you away from the game you love.

But now the doctor cleared me and I can throw again. I still have to do rehab two times a week to gain my strength in my shoulder fully but I am already gaining velocity that I had lost when I am injured and I hope to come back fully and throw harder than what I had been before my injury.
