It was my sophomore year on the basketball court, against
our rival team and our last game of the season. Our school is about fifteen
miles apart. We all know each other pretty well and no matter how each other’s
seasons are going this game is always a close one. We score a basket to cut it
to just two with five seconds left. We press them full court and they try to
get the ball in and they throw a full court pass that touches no one and goes
out of bounds and making it our ball under our basketball because of no one
touching the ball. Coach calls time out, I ask coach if we should go for the
tie or the win. He looks at me and is unsure what to say he says “go for the
tie”. The buzzer sounds for the teams to dismiss from their timeout. One of my
close friends is under the basket, throwing the ball in. I glance in the stands
and it is a packed house, the student section is packed and the stands above were
filled to the top. I look back to my friend under the basket and nod my head,
the referee hands the ball to my teammate. He slaps the ball and I run to the
opposite wing of the zone that they are playing on defense when the play was
supposed to go on the ball side for a lay-up to tie. My teammate passes me the
ball and I quickly catch and shoot in rhythm. I can still picture the crowd and
the ball perfectly going through the hoop and the crowd erupting. The buzzer
sounds and all my teammates hug and jump on me as we won by one. Coach hugs me
and says he is so proud and thanks me for making the shot. When we were in the
locker room I look at my phone that was blown up with tweets from my class
mates, by far the best memory I had as a basketball player.

Commercial Blog
The John Lewis Christmas
Advertisement was made for the audience of family, it shows that any gift can
meet anything to a family member and make them happy. It shows the importance
of being happy, the dog was sad because he had no one to jump with and then the
next day when his owner saw the new trampoline he jumped on it with the child
that was amazed by the new gift. It made everybody happy when they all finally
got to play together.
The Mercedes
advertisement was made for families, it is a emotional advertisement about a
lost kid but really only wants to ride in the cop car because of the nice Mercedes
car that the police officer has. It is emotional by the kid being all alone and
sad and then feeling happy and comfortable with the new Mercedes.
The Budweiser
commercial is for everyone that is trying to have a good time and party. That
mostly being people that are in college or just out of college. The reason they
made this commercial because it is saying if you drink Budweiser you will have
a good time. It shows that by all the people dancing and drinking and having a
good time.

Changing Major (Anything Blog)
Going into college I wasn’t sure
what I wanted to do with my major. I knew I wanted to do something with sports because
of my love for sports, especially baseball and basketball. I knew that I wouldn’t
be happy with any job that it didn’t have anything to do with sports because it
is my life and who I am. I chose sports management to be an Athletic Director so
I can be involved in all sports. As I had a couple classes I learned that you’re
going to have to have an education major or minor to be a high school AD. I
then looked into it and found out that here at Defiance College you can’t have
a minor really in education that I am god at. So I took a step back and decided
my best subject in high school was math. So then I changed my major to
Integrated Mathematics so I can be a high school math teacher and be a coach
for a baseball or basketball team there at the school I teach at. I know that
there is a high need for male math teachers and that if you are a teacher you
are more probable to get a coaching job at the school. So changing my major was
a big leap in setting what I want to do in my life after college and I am
thinking I will not look back from this.
